Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marlin Rose took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pete Hammer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Dario Luther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pete Hammer took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dario Luther. Dario Luther dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rosamond FC's Dario Luther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Porter Poirier in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Rosamond FC booed when Walnut Hill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominique Lindsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Marlin Rose recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ray Spencer. Marlin Rose showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porter Poirier in the 23rd minute of play forced Rosamond FC's goalkeeper Dario Luther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Pete Hammer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Luther. Rosamond FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pete Hammer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of Walnut Hill FC booed when Rosamond FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ervin Leary didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Rosamond FC's goal looked a bit too open when Porter Poirier came free, but Dario Luther reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito Workman hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, Porter Poirier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Dario Luther was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Porter Poirier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desmond Fox charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Desmond Fox the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Rosamond FC defense, Porter Poirier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Luther. The Rosamond FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Luther should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Porter Poirier was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Marlin Rose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Hammer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dario Luther having to make a save. Wilbur Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilbur Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Luther having to interfere. If Porter Poirier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ervin Leary hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Bobby Lujan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Marlin Rose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Spencer having to interfere. Wilbur Rossi's late challenge caught a Rosamond FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilbur Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 minutes, Bobby Lujan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walnut Hill FC and the Rosamond FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Walnut Hill FC got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Lujan. After a defensive mix-up in Walnut Hill FC's zone, Nicholas Drummond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray Spencer came out of the goal and Nicholas Drummond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Wilbur Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Porter Poirier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walnut Hill FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Porter Poirier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Luther breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Marlin Rose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Porter Poirier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Luther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walnut Hill FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
