Spectators: 6765 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Darell Arias started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Garth Pringle during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Garth Pringle kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Jesse Mayer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Jesse Mayer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fruitvale AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesse Mayer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesse Mayer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendan Field read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Edward Blum didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darell Arias went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Brendan Field made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Franco in the 26th minute of play. Edward Blum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trent Healy in the 28th minute of the match. Trent Healy scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edward Blum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 40 played minutes Pantless Thundergeese got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian McAllister. Brendan Field showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Pringle, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Jesse Mayer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendan Field read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tony Franco made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Tony Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Field saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesse Mayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Brendan Field tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Pantless Thundergeese's goal looked a bit too open when Jesse Mayer came free, but Brendan Field reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trent Healy struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Edward Blum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pantless Thundergeese. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fruitvale AFC's goalkeeper Edward Blum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Pantless Thundergeese booed when Fruitvale AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deshawn Gaines didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Jesse Mayer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fruitvale AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesse Mayer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fruitvale AFC's Tony Franco got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
