After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Denis Carson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Carson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cliff Guzman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dwight Payton kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Corydon's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Gray came free, but Cliff Guzman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Art Butler hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Denis Carson put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cliff Guzman. In the 28th minute Byron Kerns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Guzman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montana FC's zone, Art Butler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rashad Saunders came out of the goal and Art Butler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Corydon getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Eldon Story hit a great ball. Jefferson Myrick might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rashad Saunders. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Van Boyle kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Art Butler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Montana FC booed when Corydon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwight Payton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corydon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montana FC the free kick. After 60 played minutes, Montana FC's Seth Pennington shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cliff Guzman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montana FC reached it. If Denis Carson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cliff Guzman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rashad Saunders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Art Butler in the 77th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Corydon fully deserved thier win.
