Markus Camp came out of the goal and Jefferson Myrick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eldon Story sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cliff Guzman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jess Canales, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Corydon booed when Queen Creek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moses Gray didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute Eldon Story shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Camp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corydon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Kimetz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aquilino Kimetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eldon Story got free with Markus Camp in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Art Butler struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Markus Camp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corydon. Moses Gray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Cliff Guzman made a huge save. Ethan Miner kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match.
