The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Spirit Lake FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave McCall the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Spirit Lake FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of McCall:s goal. Marlon Starks shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Dave Villegas came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the McCall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Villegas couldn't finish the play. Aldo Bean succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. 87 minutes into the game, Spirit Lake FC's Hal Agoos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Charles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Bailey Arthur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Villegas in the 93rd minute of play. Jarvis Hogan kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. McCall's Dave Villegas got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. McCall's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Spirit Lake FC had won, even though McCall had held more of the ball.
