The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of New Britain CT Polska:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Spartak NY:s goal. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, Spartak NY's Casper Shaver got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dominique Friedman. In the 98th minute, Tony MacWilliams got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Spartak NY players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
