Douglass Meyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aidan Pritchard in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Ahmed Hedrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglass Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmed Hedrick struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Douglass Meyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crosby FC. Ahmed Hedrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarod Pennington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darin Mims in the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Dan Platt notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer. Douglass Meyer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Crosby FC booed when Ossian AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damien Coats didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Dan Platt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crosby FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Platt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglass Meyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Crosby FC's Ahmed Hedrick in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Douglass Meyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer got control of the ball when Dan Platt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aidan Pritchard kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Douglass Meyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aidan Pritchard in the 43rd minute. Dan Platt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Douglass Meyer made a huge save. When Eldon Corbin fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossian AFC's protests and gave Eldon Corbin a yellow card for diving instead. Eldon Corbin hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmed Hedrick to make the kick off. Dan Platt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Ossian AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Kareem Ryder hit a great ball. When Marco Messer came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Crosby FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Messer couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Platt in the 59th minute of play forced Ossian AFC's goalkeeper Douglass Meyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dan Platt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglass Meyer was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Ahmed Hedrick struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Douglass Meyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crosby FC. Douglass Meyer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Hedrick in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Dan Platt made a precise shot to the right of Douglass Meyer. Ossian AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Eldon Corbin kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Crosby FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
