Cyrus Mueller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domenico Trent in the 3rd minute. Floral City's Martin Bridges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocky Escobedo in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Dario Doran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gibson AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Doran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Gibson AFC's Dario Doran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Bridges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Young Gould kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cyrus Mueller. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Floral City's Leroy Aranda made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cyrus Mueller was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, Gibson AFC's goalkeeper Cyrus Mueller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leroy Aranda. Rocky Escobedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Rocky Escobedo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Gibson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rocky Escobedo couldn't finish the play. Dario Doran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lance Emery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rocky Escobedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Bridges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Doran, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Martin Bridges acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rodrigo Pugh. A hard shot 66 in the game by Rocky Escobedo from a close distance when the talented Martin Bridges managed to make a qualified save. Floral City's players were relieved. The corner led Gibson AFC's Rocky Escobedo to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Bridges despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rocky Escobedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Martin Bridges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Rocky Escobedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Bridges was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglass Pham during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rocky Escobedo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Bridges saved Floral City from getting behind. Gibson AFC's Cyrus Mueller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Young Gould in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match Rodrigo Pugh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Bridges showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 83 played minutes Floral City got a freekick which was hit by Weston Jacobson. With a little luck, Floral City's Martin Bridges got control of the ball when Rocky Escobedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Domenico Trent charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenico Trent the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gibson AFC booed when Floral City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Trent didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Floral City's goalkeeper Martin Bridges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rocky Escobedo. Cyrus Mueller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Young Gould in the 89th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ari Bliss during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gibson AFC booed when Floral City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ari Bliss didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rocky Escobedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Floral City players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
