Spectators: 5350 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mickey Romano started the match with the kick off. Eldon Corbin kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Floral City's Young Gould slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Douglass Meyer. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. If Young Gould had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9thth minute of the game Young Gould who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Floral City's Brent Farr suffered a concussion in the 16th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Mickey Romano charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mickey Romano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Floral City booed when Ossian AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickey Romano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Darin Mims hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ossian AFC from getting a goal against them. Martin Bridges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Goins, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ossian AFC's Mickey Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leroy Aranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Ossian AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ari Bliss came free, but Douglass Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Bridges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Romano in the 40th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leroy Aranda was the one to do the kick off. Martin Bridges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Romano in the 54th minute of play. Martin Bridges made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Goins in the 55th minute. Mickey Romano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute Mickey Romano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Bridges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Floral City getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ari Bliss hit a great ball. Floral City's Martin Bridges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Floral City from getting a goal against them. In the 67th match minute, Floral City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duane Boudreaux to maneuver through the defense. After 77 minutes, Darin Mims mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ossian AFC and the Floral City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Ossian AFC got a freekick which was hit by Darin Mims. If Bernardo Goins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Floral City's Ari Bliss got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leroy Aranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Douglass Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Floral City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
