Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jesse Vogel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dalton Goss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Willie Reilly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamel Read in the 4th minute of play. When Jamel Read came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Cherry Splitters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamel Read couldn't finish the play. Cherry Splitters's Dalton Goss got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dalton Goss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie Reilly having to interfere. Willie Reilly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamel Read in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Wood River FC's Ken Fair got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jamel Read sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Cherry Splitters booed when Wood River FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken Fair didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes, Cherry Splitters's Jerrod Phillips shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Willie Reilly came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cherry Splitters reached it. In the 31st minute, Jamel Read got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 minutes, Chuck Kraft mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cherry Splitters and the Wood River FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Chuck Kraft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalton Goss to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Jamel Read got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dalton Goss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giuseppe Jenkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brendan Ferreira during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Wood River FC got a freekick which was hit by Brendan Ferreira. A collision led to Wood River FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Clark Dobbs hit a great ball. Cherry Splitters's Napoleon Beltran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Vogel in the 78th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Clark Dobbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamel Reads short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Willie Reilly to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Wood River FC's Willie Reilly got control of the ball when Jamel Read tried to sneak it across the goal line. Napoleon Beltran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Jenkins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willie Reilly was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dalton Goss showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 95 minute of play.
