YENER FC's Gilberto Barajas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Vogel in the 2nd minute of play. Willie Reilly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilbert Rutledge's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. When Gilbert Rutledge came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the YENER FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilbert Rutledge couldn't finish the play. Willie Reilly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmer Morse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendan Ferreira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, YENER FC's Ronald Ogden got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Palmer Morse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willie Reilly was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After 21 minutes, Gilbert Rutledge made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Wood River FC's Willie Reilly tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wood River FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YENER FC the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Palmer Morse managed to get in a good position for a shot. YENER FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Palmer Morse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willie Reilly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilbert Rutledge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Willie Reilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willie Reilly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Rutledge, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 73rd minute Jesse Vogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Barajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for YENER FC! Brendan Ferreira shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Giuseppe Jenkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Barajas having to interfere. Jesse Vogel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
