Spectators: 7260 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jesse Vogel took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Giuseppe Jenkins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th match minute, Wood River FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Crain to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 10 minutes, Jesse Vogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wood River FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesse Vogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Wood River FC booed when Gibson AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Rose didn't get a good kick on the ball. Del Holman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cyrus Mueller. Gibson AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gibson AFC's Cyrus Mueller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Vogel in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jesse Vogel in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cyrus Mueller prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the game, Wood River FC's Clark Dobbs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cyrus Mueller made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fernando Russell got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ken Fair. 39 minutes into the match, Wood River FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rocky Escobedo came free, but Willie Reilly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Clark Dobbs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyrus Mueller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antony Crain kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Wood River FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rocky Escobedo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match Del Holman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cyrus Mueller showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Rocky Escobedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rocky Escobedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Willie Reilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Gibson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Roland Weathers. Willie Reilly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rocky Escobedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willie Reilly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocky Escobedo's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Adam Rose got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Willie Reilly quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cyrus Mueller made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Giuseppe Jenkins sent off a good shot on target. If Rocky Escobedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fernando Russell fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wood River FC's protests and gave Fernando Russell a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Russell kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Gibson AFC's Rocky Escobedo got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rocky Escobedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jesse Vogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lance Emery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Willie Reilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendan Ferreira made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Clark Dobbs however managed to control. In the 93rd minute Rocky Escobedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willie Reilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
