To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jamel Read received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Douglass Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglass Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalton Goss, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Ossian AFC's Bernardo Goins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Napoleon Beltran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Dalton Goss made a precise shot to the right of Douglass Meyer. Ossian AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Mickey Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Napoleon Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darin Mims got free with Napoleon Beltran in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dalton Goss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglass Meyer having to interfere. When Darin Mims fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossian AFC's protests and gave Darin Mims a yellow card for diving instead. Darin Mims hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalton Goss in the 43rd minute of play forced Ossian AFC's goalkeeper Douglass Meyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Napoleon Beltran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mickey Romano's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Bernardo Goins in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Napoleon Beltran, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Mickey Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalton Goss to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jamel Read got free with Douglass Meyer in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Napoleon Beltran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Romano in the 61st minute of the match. Chuck Kraft hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Jamel Read could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Douglass Meyer made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, Cherry Splitters's goal looked a bit too open when Mickey Romano came free, but Napoleon Beltran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Napoleon Beltran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mickey Romano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
