Ossian AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mickey Romano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ossian AFC fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Ossian AFC's Mickey Romano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gilberto Barajas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mickey Romano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ossian AFC's Darin Mims got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 24 played minutes YENER FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Whitaker. In the 25th minute of the match Darin Cardona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Barajas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Mickey Romano came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Ossian AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mickey Romano couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Goins took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Barajas. Gilberto Barajas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Bernardo Goins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Bernardo Goins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Ossian AFC from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mickey Romano to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in YENER FC's zone, Darin Mims stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Barajas came out of the goal and Darin Mims tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mickey Romano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ossian AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mickey Romano couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Bernardo Goins notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of YENER FC's Gilberto Barajas. Gilberto Barajas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute Palmer Morse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglass Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Mickey Romano rounded YENER FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Mickey Romano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Barajas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. When Palmer Morse came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the YENER FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palmer Morse couldn't finish the play. Gilbert Rutledge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglass Meyer having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Bernardo Goins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ossian AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. If Palmer Morse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Palmer Morse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglass Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The YENER FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ossian AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
