Jamel Read sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalton Goss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Goins in the 25th minute of play forced Cherry Splitters's goalkeeper Napoleon Beltran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalton Goss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eldon Corbin hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Jamel Read fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglass Meyer having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ossian AFC's zone, Dalton Goss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglass Meyer came out of the goal and Dalton Goss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Dalton Goss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglass Meyer was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, Ossian AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalton Goss came free, but Douglass Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Sims kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Jerrod Phillips took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Douglass Meyer. Ossian AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalton Goss to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Bernardo Goins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ossian AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Goins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jamel Read succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Douglass Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalton Goss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Scotty Gregory was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cherry Splitters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ossian AFC the free kick. After 65 played minutes Cherry Splitters got a freekick which was hit by Scotty Gregory. In the 68th minute, Bernardo Goins made a precise shot to the right of Napoleon Beltran. Cherry Splitters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 3-1 became the score in the 73rd minute when Jamel Read elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 76th minute Jamel Read shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglass Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Napoleon Beltran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Romano in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Jamel Read got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 minutes, Dalton Goss made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dalton Goss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglass Meyer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalton Goss's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When the referee ended the match the Cherry Splitters players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
