The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Dalton Goss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Napoleon Beltran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rex Levine in the 7th minute of play. If Rex Levine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emmitt Myers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalton Goss, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Dalton Goss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emmitt Myers having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Levine in the 16th minute of play forced Cherry Splitters's goalkeeper Napoleon Beltran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cherry Splitters's Chuck Kraft got a free kick in the 16th minute. Emmitt Myers was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jospeh North. If Jamel Read had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sherman Abernathy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sherman Abernathy scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Napoleon Beltran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emmitt Myers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jamel Read in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sherman Abernathy in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Napoleon Beltran saved Cherry Splitters from getting behind. When Armona's Rex Levine in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cherry Splitters's goalie prevented a goal. If Sherman Abernathy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Dalton Goss rounded Armona's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Rex Levine made the kick off in the second half. Sherman Abernathy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Napoleon Beltran came out and tried to block the shot, but Sherman Abernathy slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 54th minute. If Sherman Abernathy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sherman Abernathy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Napoleon Beltran made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Rex Levine kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Napoleon Beltran. That made the score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. Cherry Splitters's Napoleon Beltran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Cherry Splitters from getting a goal against them. After 72 played minutes Cherry Splitters got a freekick which was hit by Scotty Gregory. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rex Levine in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Napoleon Beltran saved Cherry Splitters from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sherman Abernathy got free with Napoleon Beltran in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sherman Abernathy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Beltran having to interfere. Cherry Splitters's Napoleon Beltran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rex Levine in the 83rd minute of play. When Rex Levine came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Armona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rex Levine couldn't finish the play. Alex Barrow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Napoleon Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bryan Espinosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
