Spectators: 7703 (Terracing: 5779, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) After 4 played minutes Wood River FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Russell. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalton Goss in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willie Reilly saved Wood River FC from getting behind. Dalton Goss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Willie Reilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cherry Splitters's zone, Jesse Vogel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Napoleon Beltran came out of the goal and Jesse Vogel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giuseppe Jenkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Napoleon Beltran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesse Vogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Napoleon Beltran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Jenkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Willie Reilly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalton Goss in the 31st minute of the match. Jamel Read received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Willie Reilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Giuseppe Jenkins came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Wood River FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giuseppe Jenkins couldn't finish the play. The corner ended in Brendan Ferreira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cherry Splitters's Napoleon Beltran did a great save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jesse Vogel to strike the kick off in the second half. Giuseppe Jenkins hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jesse Vogel kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Fernando Russell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62ndth minute of the game Jamel Read who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wood River FC's Willie Reilly was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Jesse Vogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wood River FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesse Vogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Jamel Read managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cherry Splitters's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamel Read was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willie Reilly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Wood River FC's Carl Sosa got a free kick in the 80th minute. 92 minutes in the game, Jesse Vogel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Napoleon Beltran having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Wood River FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
