When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sonny Morris made a kick off. Rueben Johnston might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldo Durham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rueben Johnston ran back to his position shaking his head. Rueben Johnston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldo Durham having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonah Kramer in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldo Durham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chicago Red Bandits FC's Rusty Lowery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Morris in the 60th minute of play. Rusty Lowery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonny Morris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, South Whittier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bailey Kelley to maneuver through the defense.
