The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cason James to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lindenhurst Hurricanes booed when The Wick Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandy Sims didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Wick Team's Theodore Stroud couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lindenhurst Hurricanes. If Vaughn Bateman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. In the 78th minute, one of The Wick Team:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Wick Team. If Cason James had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
