Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of South Whittier booed when East Troy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Yarbrough didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyson Dawson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wes Quintero in the 6th minute of play forced South Whittier's goalkeeper Waldo Durham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in South Whittier's zone, Wes Quintero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldo Durham came out of the goal and Wes Quintero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. South Whittier's Waldo Durham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berry Alford in the 24th minute of play. Berry Helton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wayne Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyson Dawson in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute Wes Quintero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Durham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Wes Quintero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind South Whittier's goalkeeper Waldo Durham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Waldo Durham managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when East Troy's Wes Quintero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Waldo Durham was a little too slow when Berry Alford got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in East Troy's zone, Monroe Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wayne Baker came out of the goal and Monroe Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. South Whittier's Waldo Durham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save South Whittier from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute Berry Alford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Durham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berry Alford in the 83rd minute of play forced South Whittier's goalkeeper Waldo Durham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wes Quintero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldo Durham having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Berry Alford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Troy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berry Alford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
