Elliott Hanks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Curtis Todd charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Curtis Todd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Curtis Todd kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Donovan Landreth charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 9th minute, Theodore Stroud sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford didn't even have to move. Rufus Ford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todd Babcock's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Vaughn Bateman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rufus Ford was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Old Bethpage's Donovan Landreth got his second yellow card of the match in the 16th minute. The referee ordered Donovan Landreth off the ground. In the 17th match minute, Old Bethpage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donovan Landreth to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to The Wick Team getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jeremiah Redd hit a great ball. Old Bethpage's Elliott Hanks got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Old Bethpage's zone, Todd Babcock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Ford came out of the goal and Todd Babcock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Old Bethpage fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The referee gave The Wick Team a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Theodore Stroud, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford. 2-0. Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Old Bethpage from getting a goal against them. Todd Babcock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rufus Ford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Sandy Sims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rufus Ford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Todd Babcock in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rufus Ford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

If Vaughn Bateman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Old Bethpage got a freekick which was hit by Curtis Todd. In the 64th match minute, Old Bethpage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Barger to maneuver through the defense. If Vaughn Bateman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Old Bethpage's zone, Vaughn Bateman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Ford came out of the goal and Vaughn Bateman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Todd Babcock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Ford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Elliott Hanks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old Bethpage's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliott Hanks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Hutchison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81stth minute of the game Elliott Hanks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Wick Team's Alexander Hutchison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Old Bethpage booed when The Wick Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremiah Redd didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elliott Hanks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliott Hanks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Hutchison having to interfere. 95 minutes in the game, Elliott Hanks fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alexander Hutchison having to interfere. The Wick Team's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
