Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Monroe Andrade made the kick off and thus started the match. 2 minutes into the game, Sonny Morris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. South Whittier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Old Bethpage the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elliott Hanks in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldo Durham saved South Whittier from getting behind. Monroe Andrade received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rufus Ford came out and tried to block the shot, but Monroe Andrade slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. Waldo Durham came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Old Bethpage's Osvaldo Barger. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Barger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Elliott Hanks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old Bethpage's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliott Hanks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldo Durham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Old Bethpage booed when South Whittier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Walter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Galloway, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Old Bethpage's Elliott Hanks got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Elliott Hanks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Barger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldo Durham having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elliott Hanks to strike the kick off in the second half. Elliott Hanks was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 62nd minute, Rodrick Flynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Elliott Hanks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donovan Landreth kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Monroe Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Whittier's supporters rose to their feet, but Monroe Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rufus Ford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rufus Ford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Hannah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Hannah in the 79th minute of play. If Alan Hannah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donovan Landreth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldo Durham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in South Whittier's zone, Elliott Hanks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldo Durham came out of the goal and Elliott Hanks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monroe Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The South Whittier fans cheered their team off the field, for while Old Bethpage had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
