Jeremiah Redd's late challenge caught a Chicago Red Bandits FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremiah Redd helped the player get up and apologised. Jeremiah Redd hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes, Sanford Thacker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chicago Red Bandits FC and the The Wick Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. The long shot by Theodore Stroud in the 43rd minute really tested Rusty Lowery's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 49th minute Jonah Kramer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Hutchison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Vaughn Bateman made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerry Fitzgerald during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of The Wick Team booed when Chicago Red Bandits FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerry Fitzgerald didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Vaughn Bateman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rusty Lowery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaughn Bateman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandy Sims recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Rueben Johnston ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Hutchison was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a little luck, The Wick Team's Alexander Hutchison got control of the ball when Rueben Johnston tried to sneak it across the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, The Wick Team's goal looked a bit too open when Jonah Kramer came free, but Alexander Hutchison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Wick Team's Vaughn Bateman got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vaughn Bateman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rusty Lowery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rusty Lowery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaughn Bateman in the 84th minute of play. Todd Babcock hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Sanford Thacker was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Chicago Red Bandits FC's Gerry Fitzgerald got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Gerry Fitzgerald off the ground. In the 92nd match minute, Chicago Red Bandits FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerry Fitzgerald to maneuver through the defense. The The Wick Team supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chicago Red Bandits FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Chicago Red Bandits FC.
