Dalton Arthur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filiberto Scruggs hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Terence Gary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalton Arthur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stacey McNeil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akademia De Futbol's Terence Gary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalton Arthur in the 20th minute of play. Terence Gary came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Platteville AFC's Owen Osborn. But to his dismay, Owen Osborn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 24th minute Dalton Arthur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terence Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Platteville AFC booed when Akademia De Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrell Hackett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyrell Hackett hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Terence Gary made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Owen Osborn sent off a good shot on target. Scotty Lilly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of A.J. Abernathy's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Platteville AFC's Chance Ventura got a free kick in the 34th minute. Glenn Scales might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Scotty Lilly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glenn Scales ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by A.J. Abernathy in the 47th minute of play forced Platteville AFC's goalkeeper Scotty Lilly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalton Arthur was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Platteville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chance Ventura to maneuver through the defense. Akademia De Futbol were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Platteville AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chris Arnold took the corner. A.J. Abernathy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 minutes, Glenn Scales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akademia De Futbol and the Platteville AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Glenn Scales hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A collision led to Akademia De Futbol getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Glenn Scales hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Platteville AFC's Gabriel Schmitz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dalton Arthur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terence Gary having to interfere. The supporters of Akademia De Futbol booed when Platteville AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Schmitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalton Arthur in the 75th minute of play forced Akademia De Futbol's goalkeeper Terence Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terence Gary came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Platteville AFC's Chance Ventura. But to his dismay, Chance Ventura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 82nd minute Owen Osborn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terence Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, A.J. Abernathy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akademia De Futbol's supporters rose to their feet, but A.J. Abernathy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Scotty Lilly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chris Arnold shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Platteville AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
