William Houston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Castillo in the 10th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Djurgårdens IF's Domingo Sosa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Houston was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pierre Haley struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Mohammed Altman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferrocarril. William Houston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Castillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Arnoldo Castillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammed Altman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre Haley in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Jerome Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 31 minutes, Pierre Haley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferrocarril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre Haley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kevin Atwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammed Altman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Haley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Ferrocarril's Jerome Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohammed Altman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kevin Atwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Mohammed Altman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Domingo Sosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Houston was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Djurgårdens IF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pierre Haley to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ferrocarril's goalkeeper William Houston had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingo Sosa. In the 54th minute of the match, Cyrus Douglas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but William Houston saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute Jerome Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammed Altman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Ferrocarril's goal looked a bit too open when Antony Pickens came free, but William Houston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Antony Pickens fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djurgårdens IF's protests and gave Antony Pickens a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Antony Pickens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ferrocarril's Pierre Haley in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Djurgårdens IF's goalie prevented a goal. 65 minutes into the game, Ferrocarril's Jerome Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mohammed Altman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Jerome Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Haley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohammed Altman having to make a save. Pierre Haley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pierre Haley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammed Altman having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Antony Pickens dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of William Houston, 1-3. In the 85th minute, Djurgårdens IF's Arnoldo Castillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind William Houston. William Houston yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Mohammed Altman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Haley in the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Djurgårdens IF getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Reinaldo Burt hit a great ball. In the 95th minute of the match Louis Ellison sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohammed Altman skillfully saved the ball. Pierre Haley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
