When Marshall Kimbrough fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Comunicaciones's protests and gave Marshall Kimbrough a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Comunicaciones getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marshall Kimbrough hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Marshall Kimbrough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of William Houston. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 31st minute, Rico Delarosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Marshall Kimbrough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Pierre Haley notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Comunicaciones's Gary Petty. Gary Petty was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jerome Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute.
