William Houston dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Owen Echols came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ferrocarril fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owen Echols couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Ferrocarril's Owen Echols sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Scotty Lilly narrowly saved just below the crossbar. William Houston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalton Arthur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferrocarril's William Houston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Osborn in the 16th minute of play. Owen Echols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scotty Lilly having to interfere. Scotty Lilly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Owen Echols in the 25th minute. Chance Ventura hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. William Houston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalton Arthur in the 28th minute of play. William Houston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalton Arthur in the 30th minute of the match. Owen Echols received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Scotty Lilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Platteville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Lott. In the 39th minute, Scot Herrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Platteville AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Chance Ventura hit a great ball. In the 44th minute of the match Saul Booth sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Scotty Lilly skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferrocarril's Owen Echols slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Scotty Lilly. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Owen Osborn was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Scot Herrera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Scotty Lilly skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Owen Echols's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Scotty Lilly was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Platteville AFC's Scotty Lilly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Echols in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Dalton Arthur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Houston made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Owen Osborn sent off a good shot on target. Scot Herrera's late challenge caught a Platteville AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Scot Herrera helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Ferrocarril got a freekick which was hit by Scot Herrera. Shaun Lott hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Owen Echols sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Platteville AFC booed when Ferrocarril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodger Livingston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevin Atwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scotty Lilly having to interfere. A collision led to Ferrocarril getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Kevin Atwood hit a great ball. William Houston acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gabriel Schmitz. After a rather tough play, Ferrocarril's Scot Herrera got a free kick in the 88th minute. Scotty Lilly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Owen Echols, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ferrocarril had won after a very even match.
