Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ed Alfaro got the match started through his kick off. Wellford AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Ed Alfaro scored to the left of an out of position Santos Thurman, making the score, 1-0. Douglass Minton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Bryan Powers had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Ned Warren kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 11 minutes, Ed Alfaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West Dundee and the Wellford AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Douglass Minton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everett Louis kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ed Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Santos Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglass Minton might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Thurman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglass Minton ran back to his position shaking his head. After 22 played minutes Ed Alfaro rounded Wellford AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Levy in the 26th minute of play forced West Dundee's goalkeeper Trey Young to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellford AFC's Santos Thurman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Wellford AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of West Dundee booed when Wellford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everett Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Ed Alfaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ed Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Thurman having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Levy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Ed Alfaro made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Wellford AFC's Santos Thurman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ed Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ed Alfaro in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Thurman saved Wellford AFC from getting behind. Rey Boston charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rey Boston the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Wellford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rey Boston to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Casey Davison shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santos Thurman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Eric Levy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Trey Young was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglass Minton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Thurman having to interfere. Ed Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Santos Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Douglass Minton came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the West Dundee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglass Minton couldn't finish the play. Ed Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Thurman having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the West Dundee players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
