In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Jacksonville. DeMarcus Haley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marquis Tolbert. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Tyson Navarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jacksonville's zone, Mervin LeBlanc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deshawn Schaefer came out of the goal and Mervin LeBlanc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Jacksonville's Deshawn Schaefer got control of the ball when Mervin LeBlanc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wadena FC's Tyson Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donald Rodgers hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Gilbert Charles came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Jacksonville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilbert Charles couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Mervin LeBlanc got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Mervin LeBlanc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reuben Frazier hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, DeMarcus Haley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacksonville's supporters rose to their feet, but DeMarcus Haley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquis Tolbert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Gilbert Charles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marquis Tolbert was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilbert Charles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play.
