In the 13thth minute of the game Douglass Minton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wadena FC's Marquis Tolbert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. West Dundee's Jospeh Malone pulled a muscle in his leg after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Tyson Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wadena FC's protests and gave Tyson Navarro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Wadena FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tyson Navarro hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Wadena FC's goalkeeper Marquis Tolbert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglass Minton. Trey Young showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Rodgers, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Douglass Minton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglass Minton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquis Tolbert having to interfere. Ned Warren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquis Tolbert having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Douglass Minton made a precise shot to the right of Marquis Tolbert. Wadena FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 37th match minute, Wadena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Seymour to maneuver through the defense. If Douglass Minton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Tyson Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglass Minton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Marquis Tolbert skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donald Rodgers was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Donald Rodgers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trey Young was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. West Dundee's Trey Young proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save West Dundee from getting a goal against them. Douglass Minton might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquis Tolbert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglass Minton ran back to his position shaking his head. West Dundee's Trey Young proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save West Dundee from getting a goal against them. Marquis Tolbert came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by West Dundee's Douglass Minton. But to his dismay, Douglass Minton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 85 minutes into the game, West Dundee's Douglass Minton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marquis Tolbert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 90th minute, Ed Alfaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. West Dundee had played much better football throughout.
