When Tyler Holmes came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Loomis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyler Holmes couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Ricky Richey notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Wadena FC's Marquis Tolbert. Marquis Tolbert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Renaldo Stringer made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Eliseo Morin sent off a good shot on target. Marquis Tolbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Richey, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Loomis's Renaldo Stringer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Rodgers in the 32nd minute of play. Loomis's Tyler Holmes got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Wadena FC's Donald Rodgers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renaldo Stringer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Wadena FC's Mervin LeBlanc got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Donald Rodgers made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, one of Wadena FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tyler Holmes's late challenge caught a Wadena FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tyler Holmes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Loomis's Tyler Holmes got a free kick in the 60th minute. Marquis Tolbert made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ricky Richey sent off a good shot on target. Ricky Richey in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marquis Tolbert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Renaldo Stringer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donald Rodgers's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Tyler Holmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loomis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyler Holmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match Eldon Greenwood shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marquis Tolbert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Loomis's Renaldo Stringer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Rodgers in the 85th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Wadena FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Morin. After 94 minutes, Tyson Navarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wadena FC and the Loomis players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tyson Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Wadena FC's Will Story got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Loomis players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
