Douglass Minton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Ed Alfaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clay Escobar. Vamala F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ed Alfaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Clay Escobar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglass Minton in the 12th minute of the match. Ed Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Minton in the 18th minute of play forced Vamala F.C's goalkeeper Clay Escobar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Taylor Andersen came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Vamala F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taylor Andersen couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd match minute, West Dundee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ned Warren to maneuver through the defense. Dennis Bradley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ed Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Clay Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. West Dundee's Trey Young played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taylor Andersen in the 29th minute of play. Douglass Minton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clay Escobar having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglass Minton in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clay Escobar saved Vamala F.C from getting behind. Ned Warren hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Douglass Minton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clay Escobar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, West Dundee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walker Dougherty to maneuver through the defense. Stephen Blackman, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Ed Alfaro made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vance Mattson during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Vamala F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vance Mattson to maneuver through the defense. Ed Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Douglass Minton managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Dundee's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglass Minton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clay Escobar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trey Young showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taylor Andersen in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Randolph Stewart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered when Casey Davison's long shot passed Clay Escobar's right side. It was 0-2, 67 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vamala F.C's goalkeeper Clay Escobar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ed Alfaro in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clay Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennis Bradley might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trey Young. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis Bradley ran back to his position shaking his head. Douglass Minton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Clay Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clay Escobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Alfaro in the 78th minute of play. Douglass Minton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clay Escobar having to make a save. 81 minutes into the match, Vamala F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Alfaro came free, but Clay Escobar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ed Alfaro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. West Dundee's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Douglass Minton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Ed Alfaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clay Escobar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Dundee's goalkeeper Trey Young, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Douglass Minton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clay Escobar having to interfere. The Vamala F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. West Dundee were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
