Desmond Huddleston didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Holmes Beach's Rickie Love shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Billy Reeves struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Desmond Huddleston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmes Beach. Holmes Beach's Ediberto Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Carrasco in the 14th minute of play. If Bill Cullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desmond Huddleston made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickie Love in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickie Love in the 30th minute of play forced Kinder's goalkeeper Desmond Huddleston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Billy Reeves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desmond Huddleston having to interfere. Desmond Huddleston made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickie Love in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sol Wilcox in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ediberto Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyce Lacy was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Holmes Beach getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Dennis Spivey hit a great ball. Sol Wilcox charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sol Wilcox the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Desmond Huddleston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickie Love, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Bill Cullen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmes Beach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kinder the free kick. A collision led to Holmes Beach getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bill Cullen hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Sol Wilcox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desmond Huddleston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickie Love, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rickie Love in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desmond Huddleston saved Kinder from getting behind. In the 74th match minute, Holmes Beach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Warren Priest to maneuver through the defense. Billy Reeves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sam Bartlett charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sam Bartlett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sam Bartlett kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Kinder's Nathaniel Tucker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ediberto Messias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kinder players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Holmes Beach.
