Waylon Paris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Stahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jackson McGrath in the 22nd minute of play forced Avra Valley's goalkeeper Waylon Paris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stacey Montano in the 26th minute of play forced Brainerd FC's goalkeeper Alex Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stacey Montano in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Pearson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shawn Diamond who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Waylon Paris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 29 minutes into the game, one of Brainerd FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Avra Valley. Charlie McGinnis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alex Pearson. 0-3. Avra Valley's Waylon Paris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Stahl in the 33rd minute of play. Avra Valley's Stacey Montano got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Pearson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stacey Montano struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Alex Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avra Valley. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Avra Valley made a substitution. Eleuterio Arias replaced Stacey Montano. Jackson McGrath kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Yuri Hermes took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Alex Pearson to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th minute of the match, Eleuterio Arias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alex Pearson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Waylon Paris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Diamond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuri Hermes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Avra Valley's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vincent Weiss hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Arnoldo Stahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waylon Paris having to interfere. With a little luck, Brainerd FC's Alex Pearson got control of the ball when Yuri Hermes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waylon Paris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Stahl in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Cobi Wray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brainerd FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cobi Wray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Shawn Diamond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waylon Paris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avra Valley played a much better game than Brainerd FC and deserved their victory. The Brainerd FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
