Spectators: 8040 (Terracing: 6031, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Roger Bonds made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th match minute, Retamoso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trey Johnson to maneuver through the defense. A long shot from Christian Vick in the 6th minute of play was well struck, but Zachery Ayers made a really good save at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Cypress's Chu Mo Yong slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zachery Ayers. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Zachery Ayers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roger Bonds showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. When Eelco ter Averst fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cypress's protests and gave Eelco ter Averst a yellow card for diving instead. Eelco ter Averst kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Jose Longoria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Tinsley in the 19th minute of the match. Retamoso FC's Zachery Ayers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Retamoso FC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Raymundo Haas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cypress's Chu Mo Yong got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathon Cardwell kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Chu Mo Yong got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jerrod Crabtree received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jose Longoria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cypress's Hugo Ibarra got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Parker Ivy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Longoria skillfully saved the ball. Hugo Ibarra struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Zachery Ayers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cypress. 46 minutes into the game, Retamoso FC's Jerrod Crabtree nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Longoria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Eelco ter Averst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Zachery Ayers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Cypress's Chu Mo Yong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zachery Ayers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chu Mo Yong in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zachery Ayers saved Retamoso FC from getting behind. Jerrod Crabtree scored 4-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Longoria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Roger Bonds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymundo Haas kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Cypress walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
