Emanuel Jeffries's late challenge caught a Retamoso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Jeffries helped the player get up and apologised. Zachery Ayers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neal Bowling in the 17th minute of play. Vito Arnold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachery Ayers having to interfere. Zachery Ayers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neal Bowling, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Boca Raton FC's Jessie Doss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Retamoso FC's Jerrod Crabtree slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismael Freeman. That made the score 1-2 after 34 minutes of play. Zachery Ayers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Arnold in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Neal Bowling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachery Ayers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Neal Bowling to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Retamoso FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Pryor. 52 minutes into the match, Retamoso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Neal Bowling came free, but Zachery Ayers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Bob Tinsley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ismael Freeman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Freeman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boca Raton FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Retamoso FC had controlled the match.
