Lorenzo McDonough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Doud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joey Doud scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo McDonough, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Damon Newsome cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lorenzo McDonough was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Damon Newsome scored 0-4 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo McDonough, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damon Newsome in the 19th minute of play forced Pana FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo McDonough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Brookside's Joey Doud nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenzo McDonough made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. If Melvin Wolfe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the game, Damon Newsome cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Lorenzo McDonough was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the game, Brookside's Gordon Ybarra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenzo McDonough made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Todd Yarbrough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Hopper having to make a save. Lorenzo McDonough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joey Doud, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute Joey Doud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo McDonough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Pana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Ybarra came free, but Lorenzo McDonough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ken Magee during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ken Magee hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Sherrill was the one to do the kick off. Joey Doud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Hopper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Sherrill's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Lorenzo McDonough was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Ken Magee capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ken Magee really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Lorenzo McDonough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gordon Ybarra went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. If Todd Yarbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Todd Yarbrough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Hopper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Lorenzo McDonough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joey Doud in the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Pana FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo McDonough had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damon Newsome. Cesar Sherrill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Harry Hopper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Pana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Magee came free, but Lorenzo McDonough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo McDonough didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 0-10. Myles Newman kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Lorenzo McDonough came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Brookside's Gordon Ybarra. But to his dismay, Gordon Ybarra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. Harry Hopper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Bryson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brookside played a much better game than Pana FC and deserved their victory. The Pana FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
