Pana FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Cobi Wray scored to the left of an out of position Lorenzo McDonough, making the score, 2-0. Jackson McGrath could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Lorenzo McDonough made a huge save. Todd Yarbrough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lorenzo McDonough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Stahl in the 24th minute of the match. Lorenzo McDonough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Stahl in the 27th minute of play. Alex Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Bryson in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the Pana FC defense, Shawn Diamond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo McDonough. The Pana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo McDonough should have stopped the shot. After some careless play in the Brainerd FC defense, Cesar Sherrill kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Pearson. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Jon Hines put in a rough tackle. After 45 played minutes Pana FC got a freekick which was hit by Jon Hines. 47 minutes into the match, Brainerd FC's Cobi Wray sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenzo McDonough narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when Arnoldo Stahl made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Stahl in the 51st minute of play forced Pana FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo McDonough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo McDonough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson McGrath in the 52nd minute of the match. Lorenzo McDonough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jackson McGrath in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Jackson McGrath left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brainerd FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. If Monty Bryson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, Pana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Stahl came free, but Lorenzo McDonough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo McDonough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Stahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Pana FC defense, Arnoldo Stahl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo McDonough. The Pana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo McDonough should have stopped the shot. Shawn Diamond took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lorenzo McDonough. Lorenzo McDonough dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. After 78 minutes of play, Brainerd FC's Arnoldo Stahl made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenzo McDonough was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Pana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cobi Wray came free, but Lorenzo McDonough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jackson McGrath took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lorenzo McDonough. Lorenzo McDonough dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-2. When Jackson McGrath fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brainerd FC's protests and gave Jackson McGrath a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Brainerd FC got a freekick which was hit by Jackson McGrath. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Brainerd FC fully deserved thier win.
