Charlie Valentin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlie Valentin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yuri Hermes went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Yuri Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlie Valentin came out of the goal and Yuri Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Avra Valley's Stacey Montano in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester United's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Yuri Hermes sped through Manchester United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charlie Valentin. Waylon Paris made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Elias Bryant sent off a good shot on target. Charlie Valentin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerard Robbins was the one to do the kick off. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Bryant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stacey Montano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute, Hunter Purvis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Elias Bryant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waylon Paris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Avra Valley could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manchester United throughout the match.
