The supporters of Retamoso FC booed when Brookside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Conroy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Greg Caldwell kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Brookside's goal looked a bit too open when Jerrod Crabtree came free, but Harry Hopper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Retamoso FC's Jerrod Crabtree nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harry Hopper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Retamoso FC's Zachery Ayers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Retamoso FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Brookside's zone, Jerrod Crabtree stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Hopper came out of the goal and Jerrod Crabtree tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harry Hopper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from DeAndre Brantley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Retamoso FC's Zachery Ayers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joey Doud in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerrod Crabtree in the 31st minute of play forced Brookside's goalkeeper Harry Hopper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes of play, Retamoso FC's Jerrod Crabtree made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harry Hopper was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Brookside booed when Retamoso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reyes Dougherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Brookside players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Retamoso FC were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerrod Crabtree made a kick off. Retamoso FC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Brookside's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Parker Ivy took the corner. The corner led Retamoso FC's DeAndre Brantley to fire away a dangerous shot which Harry Hopper despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Brookside's Harry Hopper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Tinsley in the 55th minute of play. Harry Hopper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Tinsley in the 57th minute of the match. Damon Newsome struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Zachery Ayers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brookside. In the 62nd minute, Melvin Wolfe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Jerrod Crabtree left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Retamoso FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Brookside's Myles Newman got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 72nd match minute, Brookside was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damon Newsome to maneuver through the defense. Bob Tinsley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Hopper having to interfere. Hank Melton kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Damon Newsome struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Zachery Ayers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brookside. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Duncan Gonzales put in a rough tackle. Myles Newman placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Brookside's Joey Doud got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Retamoso FC's Jerrod Crabtree got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Retamoso FC's Bob Tinsley got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerrod Crabtree received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Harry Hopper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Hopper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Tinsley in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Retamoso FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Brookside.
