Heriberto Carter kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Parker Ivy came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Retamoso FC fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Dearborn AFC's zone, Jerrod Crabtree stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Fontenot came out of the goal and Jerrod Crabtree tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Dearborn AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Tinsley came free, but David Fontenot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Dearborn AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Lucas Vasquez hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Bob Tinsley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Fontenot. Dearborn AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bob Tinsley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. David Fontenot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bob Tinsley in the 89th minute. Jerrod Crabtree received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. David Fontenot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute of the match, Bob Tinsley got a very nice opportunity to score, but David Fontenot was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Retamoso FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
