The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Rolando Callahan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Angeles F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Mitchell Starr notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pocasset Light's Merrill Redding. Merrill Redding was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilfred Starnes's late challenge caught a Los Angeles F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfred Starnes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Wilfred Starnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Angeles F.C's Quinton Webber quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Grady Haines, made in the 17th minute of the game. Keith Duffy's late challenge caught a Pocasset Light's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keith Duffy helped the player get up and apologised. 22 minutes into the match, Keith Duffy notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Pocasset Light's Merrill Redding. Merrill Redding was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pocasset Light's Merrill Redding proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Pocasset Light from getting a goal against them. Rolando Callahan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Merrill Redding came out and tried to block the shot, but Rolando Callahan slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jonathan Corley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocasset Light's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Corley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristopher Munson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Los Angeles F.C getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Keith Duffy hit a great ball. Roger Connors took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristopher Munson. Los Angeles F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Keith Duffy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Merrill Redding made a huge save. Grady Haines charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grady Haines the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Grady Haines kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Callahan was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Los Angeles F.C getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gerry Ivey hit a great ball. Jonathan Corley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristopher Munson having to interfere. Mitchell Starr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Keith Duffy notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Pocasset Light's Merrill Redding. Merrill Redding was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristopher Munson was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Jonathan Corley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonathan Corley really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. Cristopher Munson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Corley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Corley got free with Cristopher Munson in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Los Angeles F.C getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Keith Duffy hit a great ball. In the 75th minute Rolando Callahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merrill Redding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Los Angeles F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keith Duffy to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Quinton Webber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 played minutes Pocasset Light got a freekick which was hit by Dante Gillis. 87 minutes into the match, Pocasset Light's Jonathan Corley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristopher Munson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Los Angeles F.C getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Jordan Garcia hit a great ball. Los Angeles F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
