Seating: 1450, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jonathan Corley got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Ford during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pocasset Light getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Alex Ford hit a great ball. Matthew Zaragoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Merrill Redding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merrill Redding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickie Bingham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Merrill Redding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickie Bingham in the 14th minute of the match. When Pocasset Light's Jonathan Corley in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Lanús's goalie prevented a goal. After 24th play minutes Matthew Zaragoza shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Merrill Redding and just under the crossbar into goal. Merrill Redding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickie Bingham in the 26th minute of the match. Merrill Redding didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rickie Bingham went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jonathan Corley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pocasset Light's goalkeeper Merrill Redding, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Rickie Bingham made a precise shot to the right of Merrill Redding. Pocasset Light's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After the first half Club Atlético Lanús were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickie Bingham made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jonathan Corley made a precise shot to the right of Yu Zhen Zhen. Club Atlético Lanús's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 55 minutes into the match, Pocasset Light's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Zaragoza came free, but Merrill Redding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes Pocasset Light got a freekick which was hit by Alex Ford. A collision led to Pocasset Light getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Alex Ford hit a great ball. Jonathan Corley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesus Metz's late challenge caught a Pocasset Light's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesus Metz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Club Atlético Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Metz to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Pocasset Light's Merrill Redding got control of the ball when Rickie Bingham tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Club Atlético Lanús's Ben Gould made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merrill Redding was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucjan Wiatrak hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Jonathan Corley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Yu Zhen Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pocasset Light were furious when Timothy Rooney was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 73 minutes into the game, one of Pocasset Light:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A sloppy throw-in by Marian Rekowski in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pocasset Light's Jonathan Corley. In the 78th minute, Carlos Webber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merrill Redding was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rickie Bingham. Pocasset Light's Merrill Redding played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dallas Huff in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Ben Lunsford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pocasset Light fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. In the 84th minute, Rickie Bingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Merrill Redding made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Rickie Bingham sent off a good shot on target. Rickie Bingham's late challenge caught a Pocasset Light's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rickie Bingham helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Lanús's Rickie Bingham got a free kick in the 87th minute. Yu Zhen Zhen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ben Lunsford's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Dallas Huff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Merrill Redding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pocasset Light supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Atlético Lanús's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Atlético Lanús.
