Los Angeles F.C's Gerry Ivey got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes in the game, Vivaldo Abreu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cristopher Munson having to interfere. Los Angeles F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Vivaldo Abreu scored to the left of an out of position Cristopher Munson, making the score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Vivaldo Abreu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Cristopher Munson to make any attempt to save it. Riley Hutchinson, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Vivaldo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cristopher Munson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Vivaldo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Los Angeles F.C's zone, Justo Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristopher Munson came out of the goal and Justo Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Los Angeles F.C getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Landon Brennan hit a great ball. Vivaldo Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mitchell Starr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustavo Gore came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Angeles F.C's Rolando Callahan. But to his dismay, Rolando Callahan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Julian Kohler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Angeles F.C's Jordan Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Gore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Callahan in the 85th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los Angeles F.C's zone, Justo Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristopher Munson came out of the goal and Justo Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mitchell Starr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Los Angeles F.C's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Los Angeles F.C may have spent more time on the ball, but Wayne Winners were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
