The supporters of Racing de Carolina booed when Glouster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Youngblood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Youngblood hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Dalton Klein received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abraham Gann came out and tried to block the shot, but Dalton Klein slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Chad Poe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Gann having to interfere. Kirk Vela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Glouster's goal looked a bit too open when Dalton Klein came free, but Abraham Gann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Youngblood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Vaughn Shipman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kirk Vela came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Glouster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirk Vela couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, John Stein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match, Kirk Vela sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Vaughn Shipman showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Steve Youngblood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glouster's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Youngblood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vaughn Shipman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Vela in the 36th minute of play forced Racing de Carolina's goalkeeper Vaughn Shipman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Racing de Carolina's goal looked a bit too open when Kirk Vela came free, but Vaughn Shipman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Glouster getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Van Stephens hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kirk Vela was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Racing de Carolina got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Connors. Racing de Carolina's Vaughn Shipman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Racing de Carolina from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Glouster getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tory Crozier hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Octavio Connors made a precise shot to the right of Abraham Gann. Glouster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Racing de Carolina's zone, Kirk Vela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaughn Shipman came out of the goal and Kirk Vela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Glouster getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Steve Youngblood hit a great ball. Octavio Hines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76thth minute of the game Dalton Klein who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glouster's Abraham Gann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Octavio Connors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Gann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Racing de Carolina's Vaughn Shipman got control of the ball when Kirk Vela tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Steve Youngblood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirk Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Dalton Klein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abraham Gann was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 94 played minutes Racing de Carolina got a freekick which was hit by Chad Poe. Racing de Carolina's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
