In the 18th minute, Longview Heights's Ben McClellan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ben McClellan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Longview Heights protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ben McClellan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Keene in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bronson Fitzgerald saved Longview Heights from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Monessen's goalkeeper Tyrone Darling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clayton Vazquez. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claude Gordon in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bronson Fitzgerald saved Longview Heights from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Gordon in the 42nd minute of play forced Longview Heights's goalkeeper Bronson Fitzgerald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Longview Heights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clayton Vazquez to maneuver through the defense. 3-2 became the score in the 47th minute when Stefan Keene elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Doug Winn made the kick off in the second half. The nice shot from Claude Gordon in the 52ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bronson Fitzgerald had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 55 played minutes Longview Heights got a freekick which was hit by Colby Broussard. Bronson Fitzgerald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Keene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Longview Heights's Bronson Fitzgerald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Keene in the 59th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Monessen's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Winn came free, but Tyrone Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doug Winn struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Tyrone Darling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Longview Heights. In the 72nd minute Doug Winn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Darling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monessen's attack was well implemented in the 75th minute, but when Claude Gordon was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clayton Vazquez during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clayton Vazquez hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Stefan Keene struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Bronson Fitzgerald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monessen. Preston Myers charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Preston Myers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Longview Heights booed when Monessen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Preston Myers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doug Winn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrone Darling having to interfere. Tyrone Darling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doug Winn went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Monessen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Longview Heights.
