In the 5th minute, Victor Doss reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chris Beal. The goal made the score 1-0. Romeo Ramos came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Erma's Derek Cleveland. But to his dismay, Derek Cleveland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 12th minute, Josiah Phelps hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Beal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Doss in the 14th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Erma got a freekick which was hit by Josiah Phelps. Fabian Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Derek Cleveland charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Derek Cleveland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Olivia booed when Erma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Cleveland didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 minutes, Thomas Swanson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olivia and the Erma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thomas Swanson hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Erma fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Olivia's Victor Doss got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Chris Beal. In the 41st minute, Ramiro Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 minutes of play Olivia's Thomas Swanson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dane Fulton was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Erma's goal looked a bit too open when Evan Clarke came free, but Chris Beal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Beal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dane Fulton, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Chris Beal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evan Clarke in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Olivia booed when Erma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Cleveland didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Mason Gaston threw the ball into play from the sideline. Erma's Delmar Telo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Chris Beal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evan Clarke went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute Dane Fulton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Beal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes, Rolando Hammer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Erma and the Olivia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Olivia booed when Erma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Hammer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evan Clarke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Chris Beal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Beal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan Clarke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Erma players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Olivia.
