Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marlon Koenig got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loren Rojas in the 3rd minute of play forced Mendenhall FC's goalkeeper Ivan Oberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Oberle made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Terence Gil sent off a good shot on target. Todd Guinn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marlon Koenig's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, American Canyon AFC's Ignacio MacKenzie got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Mendenhall FC's Marlon Koenig in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye American Canyon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in American Canyon AFC's zone, Marlon Koenig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Todd Guinn came out of the goal and Marlon Koenig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 minutes, Kerry Middleton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mendenhall FC and the American Canyon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kerry Middleton kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ivan Oberle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loren Rojas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loren Rojas in the 23rd minute of play forced Mendenhall FC's goalkeeper Ivan Oberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loren Rojas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Oberle having to interfere. Ivan Oberle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Terence Gil in the 30th minute. Mendenhall FC's attack was well implemented in the 35th minute, but when Marlon Koenig was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rey Diggs during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mendenhall FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Emery Nash hit a great ball. Terence Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Oberle having to interfere. Marlon Koenig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Todd Guinn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The American Canyon AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mendenhall FC were winning 0-1.

Kerry Middleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the game, Marlon Koenig recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Todd Guinn. Marlon Koenig showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Justin Sewell made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rey Diggs. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Terence Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot. American Canyon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Terence Gil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Oberle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, American Canyon AFC's Todd Guinn got control of the ball when Marlon Koenig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mendenhall FC made a substitution. Tanner Baltazar replaced Marlon Koenig. When Rey Diggs was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. In the 76th minute, Rey Diggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacio MacKenzie charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacio MacKenzie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mendenhall FC booed when American Canyon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio MacKenzie didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 86 in the game by Tanner Baltazar from a close distance when the talented Todd Guinn managed to make a qualified save. American Canyon AFC's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lee Barton during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lee Barton hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Todd Guinn came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Mendenhall FC's Tanner Baltazar. But to his dismay, Tanner Baltazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Tanner Baltazar struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Todd Guinn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mendenhall FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanner Baltazar got free with Todd Guinn in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loren Rojas charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loren Rojas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Loren Rojas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tanner Baltazar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Todd Guinn having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mendenhall FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
