Seating: 1853, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cary Allen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cary Allen kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Arturo Hill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cary Allen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Quinn Jackson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Bad Axe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quinn Jackson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Redford's Lee Villa got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Timmy Herrera fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redford's protests and gave Timmy Herrera a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Redford's zone, Henry Pepper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Todd Welsh came out of the goal and Henry Pepper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Bad Axe's Danial Pollard got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Redford's Julio Thome got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Redford's Todd Welsh got control of the ball when Rolf Carey tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 played minutes Bad Axe got a freekick which was hit by Danial Pollard. After a rather tough play, Redford's Gilbert Calvert got a free kick in the 29th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bad Axe's Henry Pepper slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Todd Welsh. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. With 34 minutes on the clock, Sydney Locke commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Redford getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sydney Locke hit a great ball. When Timmy Dunham came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Bad Axe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmy Dunham couldn't finish the play. Myles Cano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Henry Pepper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Welsh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Todd Welsh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Pepper in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Pepper in the 57th minute of play forced Redford's goalkeeper Todd Welsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Myles Cano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Redford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Myles Cano couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Pepper in the 60th minute of play forced Redford's goalkeeper Todd Welsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Redford's Lee Villa got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Lee Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th match minute, Bad Axe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danial Pollard to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 75 minutes, Timmy Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmy Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Hill made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Myles Cano sent off a good shot on target. Todd Welsh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Pepper, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Bradly Ludwig fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redford's protests and gave Bradly Ludwig a yellow card for diving instead. Bradly Ludwig hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Todd Welsh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Pepper in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Redford's Myles Cano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Hill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Quinn Jackson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bad Axe's supporters rose to their feet, but Quinn Jackson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Todd Welsh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Redford players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bad Axe.
