The corner led Harker Heights FC's Kerry Davila to fire away a dangerous shot which Dane Fraser despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ferdinand Beard hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. A collision led to Harker Heights FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rueben Cannon hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes, Montesa de Lugo's Elton Rowan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilfredo Dutton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montesa de Lugo reached it. Bennett Storey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Montesa de Lugo's Alfredo Quinn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfredo Dutton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Harker Heights FC's Shawn Crowell got a free kick in the 27th minute. The supporters of Montesa de Lugo booed when Harker Heights FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rueben Cannon didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Quinn in the 34th minute of play forced Harker Heights FC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Dutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Dutton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Quinn's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Wilfredo Dutton made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Alfredo Quinn sent off a good shot on target. Phillip Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Dutton having to interfere. Phillip Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wilfredo Dutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Montesa de Lugo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Harker Heights FC throughout the match.
